CC2340R5-Q1: What's the source impedance value for BLE ANT PIN on CC2340R5-Q1?

Part Number: CC2340R5-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2340R5

Hi Sir,

CC2340R5 has a single-ended RF output with a 3 component matching network composed of a shunt capacitor,a series inductor and a shunt capacitor. These three elements transform the device impedance to 50 Ω.

Could you please let me know what's the source impedance value at ANT PIN on CC2340R5? wil use it to tune RF passive matching for maximum BLE Tx power, thanks.

  • Hi Mao,

We normally do not measure the source impedance of the RF port. The values for the three components C33, L33 and C34 are carefully selected in the lab to have the least amount of harmonics and to give a 50 ohm output. If you use those component values, you should be fine. You just need to make sure to have a 50 ohm transmission line and tune the antenna to 50 ohm.

    Regards,

    HG
