CC2340R5: how can I run-time enable PTM?

Part Number: CC2340R5

Hi Expert,

how can I run-time enable PTM?

Q1: Is that possible to

  1. run "PTM_start()" at start but not run "HCI_EXT_EnablePTMCmd();"
  2. when need, send cmd below from uart to enable PTM

#define HCI_EXT_ENABLE_PTM                                  0xFC0E

Q2: after finish PTM, how can I disable PTM mode? only reset IC?

BR,

frank

  • Hi Frank

    Thanks for reaching out.

    You are able to modify the PTM_start() function as desired or however makes sense for the target application. However, if PTM would like to be ran at a later time, I would recommend calling PTM_start() when PTM is needed. For example, if you would like to enter PTM when a specific GPIO goes high, then when I would suggest triggering an event that calls the PTM_start(0 at that point. The same can be done if a specific UART msg is received.

    To disable PTM, the IC should be reset. This can be done through NPI as well.

    Best Regards,
