CC2340R5-Q1: How to test RF performence with Fully assembled boards when there is only Lin interface?

Part Number: CC2340R5-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2340R5

Hi Ti teams,

We are designing  CC2340R5-Q1 to a bluetooth board, Now we are meeting some problems.

As we all know, for RF performence testing, we usually use UART to send/ recieve HCI cmd with Project named host_test_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang.

And this CC2340R5-Q1 poroject is going to NPI. So We really need your help with How to test RF performence with Fully assembled boards when there is only Lin interface.

Here is our Fully structured flowchart:

The bare board which is assembled with housing even with Glue-pouring, therefore there is only LIN/ Power-12V/ GND/ IO outside.

So we wanna to ask you if there any source code which allow us to send/ recieve HCI cmd by LIN interface? Or you have other better advertisement for Fully assembled board RF testing? IQXel-80 is our test instrument, and it only can indentify HCI cmd now.

Need you help very much and hope for your reply, thanks!

   Best Regards,

   Annie

  • Hi Annie,

As a heads up, much of TI in the US and EMEA are on a holiday, so feedback here may be delayed a bit. That said, we do not have any native code that shows how to leverage HCI over LIN. This is something that would need to be developed by the developers within your company and largely depends on the types of test mode commands you want to enable. Common test mode commands that are leveraged though are things like HCI_EXT_ModemTestTx and Rx Commands.
