CC2340R5: storing user information in external flash

Hi all,

I am testing basic_ble_oad_offchip_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang project.

I want to store some user information in external flash which is used by basic_ble_oad_offchip_LP_EM_CC2340R5_freertos_ticlang project.

So, I want to know how much space basic_ble_oad_offchip project is using from the 1MB external flash to store the OAD images.

From which sector, we can write the user information in the external flash.

Is there any way to restrict the space used by the basic_ble_oad_offchip project (to store OAD images) in the 1MB external flash?

Hi Aslam,

The size of the image on the off-chip flash will be the application size + one external flash page. You can compute the number of pages taken with this formula:

The basic_ble_oad_offchip support only one OAD image, to restrict the space used in the external flash you can reduce the value of the OFFCHIP_SLOT_SIZE macro defined in sw_update.c:90
