Hello David, when I play around with the tool ble5stack\btool\btool.exe, I have seen the tool provide a function read the image file and send the image file. Please see https://prnt.sc/FoSoO7xH6Vs4 That is what we need. So I would like to know if there is some sample C# or vb.net code for this so that I can follow that.

Apologies for the delay. There are two paths we can assess:

1. See if the Bluetooth LE commands (green) that are shown on BTool's terminal are good enough for you to replicate the OAD process. You can visualize these commands while BTool is executing OAD based on the steps found in our training material here. Please let me know if this is a path that makes sense based on your design requirements.                                                                                                       
2. I am in conversations with the R&D team to see how we can provide you with what you need (source code of OAD process). I would please ask you to reach to your TI sales representative so that he can contact me.

Hello David, another question, I have used some Microsoft windows .NET library to connect to the Bluetooth, it can discover the OAD reset service 0xFFD1 and Terminal service 0xC0C0 but can not discover the OAD service 0xFFC0, is OAD service is different from these two and how I can discover it?

Hello Guoxin,

This depends on the OAD type you are running. The OAD service is responsible for receiving and storing an OAD image. This service is implemented in the basic_ble_oad_offchip, basic_dual_image and basic_persistent projects. On the other hand, the OAD reset service is only used by basic_ble_oad_onchip project. It implements a method for switching/invalidating the currently running image and resetting the device. This must occur because in on-chip solutions the currently running image cannot update itself.
