Just received the launch-pad and the XDS110ET. I have just connected them as described in the user-guide. Jumpers have been set as requested and verified in the schematics (default). I was expecting, that the "out-of-the-box example" (ZeroProject) will start, but I didn't see the device on the SImpleLink-App and there was nothing in the console window (putty). Using the User-guide, I tried to restore the "out of box experience", following the instructions to install the browser plug-in and TICloudAgent. The progress bar runs until 20%, then disappears. No success or error message - and still no reaction on the App after resetting the board.

The I installed the SimpleLink CC13xx-cc26xx-SDK (7.40.00.77) and imported the ProjectZero-example on CodeComposer 12.7.1, compiled it and uploaded it on the board. Using the debugger, I can see, that in icall.c the function ICall_waitMatch() returns ICALL_ERRNO_TIMEOUT and thus calls ICall abort() which is an endless-loop.

Now I am stuck - did I receive a defect board or did I forget something to set-up the board?

Hi Klaus,

I have just tried project_zero from the 7.10.2.23 SDK, and it worked out of the box.

What operating system are you using on your mobile phone?

Hi Arthur,

I guess something is wrong on the radio section: The Cortex M33 is working, but there is no console output at all from the M0. It should at least show up some boot messages. I think, the ProjectZero-image is already installed on a new board, so it should have already worked on first startup.

BTW: I am using Android 14 on Samsung

Hi Klaus,

The UART console output is handled by the M33 core device. What serial settings are you using for Putty?

Hi Arthur,

I am using 115200bps, no handshake, no parity, 1 stop-bit. A log-statement after the initialization of the UART in the main routine prints a line, so this is working. Seems there are no outputs before the system enters the endless-loop during initialization of the bluetooth-stack (no idea, what ICall_waitMatch() is waiting for...)

Just checking, but you did use the CC1354P10 version of the project, and not the CC1314 right?

Hi Arthur,

I was checking again, yes I was using the CC1354P10 version. Just imported it from the corresponding directory in the SimpleLink toolkit.

sure, yes. I tried to catch it below the metal part, so sorry for the strange angle.

Another thing: I tried a second (identical) board. Brandnew, just out of the package. Plugged it into the XDS110, then connected it to USB. Again the App doesn't show the device (just my mobile phones with "Unknown device"). With the debugger, I can see, that some application is on the device, I can see the vector table and some code. Isn't it the ZeroProject?

This is caused by the absence of the CCFG section in the project_zero example. Flashing another example, such as simple_peripheral, prior to flashing project_zero will make it work.
