Can I use IAR v8.10 with latest CC2540 sdk

I will be starting development on the CC2540 chipset very soon.

I have downloaded the latest 1.1a installer and installed it

I have also recently purchased the full IAR 8051 C Workbench and it is version 8.10

Can I use v8.10 with the latest 1.1a BLE install, OR do I have to download a specific version of Workbench and install that?

1.1 is for 7.60 as the readme says but I don't think you have any problem if using 8.10·

The readme file said upgrade to 7.60, but it does not explicitly say "7.60 or newer"

That is why I posted the original question.

I am hoping someone can confirm that 8.10 is fine or that I need to download 7.60 from the IAR website and install that instead.

Given I have a licence I am allowed access to older versions.

Download the 8.10 evaluation and try.

Hi Mahendra,

You should use the v7.60, which BLEv1.1 is built for. Just to be sure.

Hi,

I've just compiled and flashed a 7.60 BLE app under IAR 8.10, which in turn does not need the old IAR cc2540 patch number 4.

It seems to work fine, even if it triggers 2 more warnings.

I've been using 8.10 for a couple of weeks now and haven't come across any glaring issues. Compiles fine and no weird or unexpected behaviour so far.
