CC2340R5-Q1: BLEAPPUTIL_ADV_REPORT not received after scanning was started

Part Number: CC2340R5-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am writting here regarding a problem experienced actually with CC2745R10_Q1. Iam working with a demoboard and I am trying to configure in my application the device as a central . I start scaning, I can see the event for scaning enabled is received, but seems i am not able to receive the BLEAPPUTIL_ADV_REPORT. Could you please give me a hint?

I have to mention that for now I was not able to debug the basic_ble example project for the central role as the tera term menu does not work for me. Maybe you can help me with an idea also about why I cannot see any message on the terminal. I mention that I ve configured the com with the uart settings.

Thanks in advance,

Virginia

  • Virginia,

Support for pre-RTM devices is generally limited on the E2E forums. Are you in contact with an FAE with TI?

What settings are you using for your terminal window? Are you sure you are using the correct COM port? The correct one is the XDS110 Class Application/User UART which can be found in your device manager.

  • Hi, Thank you!

I am actually in contact with a FAE, but he redirects me usually to the forum.

The issue with the scan event is fixed now. but still is a question mark the way of solving...i could place breakpoint in the case for BLEAPPUTIL_ADV_REPORT, when I deleted code from the case handling the scan disable(the piece of code was not having problems).

Regarding th terminal , yes I am using corect com port and the settings are those found on the ti page regarding this topic.

    Thank you!

  • Hello Virginia,

Can you provide me with the name of your FAE?

Did you change anything to warrant the fix in the BLEAPPUTIL_ADV_REPORT event? I was able to see the event on my end.

Additionally, for the terminal, have you tried PuTTY? How are you outputting to the serial terminal?

    Let me know!

    Thanks,

    Isaac
