Part Number: CC2340R5
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

Tool/software:

Hello.

This is not related to Bluetooth, but please let me know.

When connecting to CC2340R5, error -1274 occurs.

The CC2340R5 has just been delivered and no programming has been written yet.

The connection method is as follows:
Open CodeComposerStudio12.5.0
Open TargetConfigurations
-> Right click on CC2340R5.ccxml
->Left-click Launch Selected Configuration
->Open Debug
->Right-click Texas Instruments XDS110 USB Debug Probe
->Left click on Connect Target

Once you flash a program you will be able to connect. Do you know what’s happening here?

  • Hello kei,

    Here are some relevant E2E threads.  Can you please verify that you are using Rev B / PG 2.0 hardware by looking at the chip markings or reading through Uniflash?  Settings & Utilities -> Read Device Info.

    Are you able to program the device using Uniflash or CCS?  This could be an issue due to an invalid CCFG which should not occur by default on Rev B devices.  The "ProgramDefaultCCFG" instructions are more prevalent for Rev A.  From where did you procure the LP-EM-CC2340R5?

    Regards,
    Ryan

  • thank you.

    I'm not yet fully understanding the related threads, but I'll continue looking into them.

    The CC2340R5 I was using was Rev.B.
    This was given to me by a local TI.

  • Rev B silicon should be valid, I don't know the specific history of the device you have or how the CCFG could have been removed but you can certainly attempt programming the default CCFG as I alluded to in my previous message.

    Regards,
    Ryan
