CC2642R: Maximum Number of Supported Bonds

Part Number: CC2642R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Tool/software:

Hi,

There is a limitation for maximum number of bonds in sdk_7_10_01_24.

If scanning or connection initiation on 2M PHY is used, then the maximum number of bonds that can be saved in NV is 21.

What does "connection initiation on 2M PHY" mean here?

If peer device initiate a connection on 2M PHY with CC2642, will the maximum number of bonds for CC2642 be 21 or 32?

Thanks & Regards,

  • Hi,

    Thank you for reaching out.

By "connection initiation on 2M PHY" we mean if the connection is initiated as an answer to a Extended Connectable Advertisement using the 2M PHY as secondary PHY.

If the peer device initiate a connection on 2M PHY with CC2642 - i.e. if the CC2642 advertises Extended Connectable Advertisement using the 2M PHY as secondary PHY - the maximum number of bonds is 21.

To be clear, the following SysConfig configuration (notice the elements highlighted in yellow) will lead to a reduced number of bonds:

    I hope this will help,

    Best regards,
