CC2340R5: Serial Bootloader Commands given in user manual is not responding in boot mode.

Hi,

I am tryining to Implement serial bootloader in my data stream modified example

Sys Config Settings Screenshot:

before starting the program i made the DIO25 pin high to go in boot mode

Serial Command response for setting Baud Rate:

When i entered into the boot mode, the command of Set Baud Rate(0x55) responses ACK(0x00 CC).But when i am trying to send some other commands given in user manual, they are not responding either NACK or ACK.

How to solve this problem???

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. Can you provide a UART log (similar to the one you provided with the auto bad sequence) showing a command not being responded? It would also be helpful if you could provide a logic trace. Can you share the SDK version you are using?

The UART LOG for the following is:

The commands passed in boot mode was given according to the reference manual.

The SDK version i am using is : simplelink_lowpower_f3_sdk_8_10_01_02

Hi Reshabh,

Are you aware of the correct packet structure for the ROM Serial Bootloader?

Thus for a BLDR_CMD_PING:

You will need to send size (0x03), checksum (0x20), and the command (0x20) in order to receive an ACK from the CC2340R5. If I understand your interface correctly then you are currently sending a size of 0x20, checksum of 0x21, and a first data/command byte of 0x22. Thus the CCC2340R5 ROM bootloader has not yet responded since you have not completed sending the full packet size of 0x20 bytes.

Is there any GUI application which can be used to pass the Hex file in the serial boot mode????

How to pass the Hex File(Code File) to the CC2340R5 in the boot mode using TI serial Bootloader???

Here is the Linux Serial Bootloader tool. A description of image programming is provided in the SBL chapter of the TRM document we have been referencing.

I am not able to understand how to use this Linux Serial Bootloader tool.I am able to enter the boot mode and after that i am not able to pass the new image file.
