CC2651R3: Wireless certification obtained

Hi,

Looking at the CC2651R3 datasheet, it says that regulatory compliance certification has been obtained for radio frequencies.

ETSI RED (Europe) / RER (UK)
ISED (Canada)
FCC (US)

Has radio certification been obtained for this module alone?
Or will the user have to obtain radio certification if they install it in an application?

For a device like the CC2651R3, the datasheet compliance text refers to the tests that TI performs with its reference designs. However, this is not a guarantee that your design and product is automatically certified. Ultimately you will always need to consult with your certification agency to verify the suitability of your design and perform any necessary tests.

Yes, the module CC2651R3SIPA was certified. Check the certification reports at the following URL:

This can also be accessed from the module product page I sent before, although it is somewhat not trivial (click on Design & Development, then click on the tab Design Tools & Simulation).
