There is no problem on using CCS debugging and uniflash. they are working well.

But RF studio is not wokring as below.

Please find the attached RF-stdio screen picture.

Following is my device manger screen. it seems ok. but please check the version.

Thansk for your advice in advance.

  • Hi KSLim,

The XDS110 appears to be fine, the issue likely has to do with the SimpleLink device which is being connected.  Are you using the LP-XDS110ET + LP-EM-CC2340R5, and can you confirm that you are using a Rev B CC2340R5 device (using Uniflash) and that you are on the latest version of Smart RF Studio 8?  Do you have any other LaunchPads or computers you can test with?

    Regards,
    Ryan

  • Dear Ryan,

This is picture of my board. And Rf Studio 8 version is v1.0.2.(I am not sure  this is the latest version)

Actually there is no test pc here. Do I have to reinstall this software?

    Regards,

    KSLim

  • SMARTRF-STUDIO-8 v1.1.0 is the latest version: SMARTRF-STUDIO-8

Try re-installing to determine whether this makes any differences.  You mentioned that CCS is working, what version of the SIMPLELINK-LOWPOWER-F3-SDK have you used and are you able to program firmware to this device successfully?

    Regards,
    Ryan

  • Dear Ryan

I just reinstalled v1.1.0 version, but symptom is same as before.

    installed sdk is "simplelink_lowpower_f3_sdk_7_40_00_64".

As I said , ccs and uniflash is working well. I can debug and flashing devices well.

I hope this helps you to check root cause.

    Thanks

    Best Regards,

    KSLim

  • Please show a top image of your LP-XDS110ET + LP-EM-CC2340R5 connections, and a new screenshot of your SmartRF Studio 8 v1.1.0 GUI.  What is your Windows OS version?  I unfortunately cannot provide much further assistance since this issue is not replicable from my end.

    Regards,
    Ryan

  • Dear Ryan,

My pc information is as below.

    Processor   :        Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 7 155H   1.40 GHz

    Installed RAM :     32.0GB(31.6GB available)

    system    :   64bit OS, x64

    edition  : Windows 11 Home

    version  :   23H2

    OS build :22631.3880

    Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1020.0

I didn't take picture of board yet. If you need, I will attach it later.

FYI, I installed rf-stuido to another laptop and I verified all boards are working well and I finished rf-parameter tuning job on friday.

So I think this is related to rf-studio compatibility issue.

I still have problem on my laptop but, anyway I'd like to close this issue if you do not have any special solution now.

P.S> I do not know this helps you to find solution, 3~4 weeks ago I had similar issue on uniflash, at that time uniflash could not find my board's chip(cc2340R5GRE) and connect it via jtag. so I suffered it for 2~3 weeks or so. our local fae was also checked it but could not solve it. finally I could connect my board via jtag using uniflash after running re-sync from the uniflash-setting. When I think about this issue and uniflash case, there seems to have something wrong on sw-tools.

    Thanks

    Regards,

    KSLim
