The Directed advertisement only includes the 6-byte device address of the initiating device and therefore does not allow a scan request from the central (which can then be configured with passive scanning). You can use SysConfig to configure the peripheral device with directed connectable adv. Where in the peer address you have to add the BLE address of the central device

What are you using as the central device?

You should be able to see if the peripheral device has connected if a BLEAPPUTIL_LINK_ESTABLISHED_EVENT is sent by the stack to the Connection_ConnEventHandler(). If you are using the basic_ble example, you should be able to find this inside the app/app_connection.c file. In addition, you should be able to see a message of connection successful on a serial terminal.

my mobile or same cc2340 eveloution board

for central device

i have provided my mobile mac address , and also given the breakpoint in app_connection.c file but it is not getting connected can you suggest any change in parameter or code,
or i should use another cc2340 board as central instead of my mobile.
 

Hello Amrendra,

I would suggest to use another cc23xx board as central device first. This is due to the fact that the Mobile will most likely have a RPA address (changing address every certain period of time for privacy purposes). For the central device, the easier think to do for a first test is to set the address to be used as Public Address using SysConfig. You can read the MAC address from memory using Uniflash following this section: Reading MAC Address through UniFlash GUI. Make sure to add the address of the peer device in the correct order (MSB, LSB).

kindly review it , if by mistake if i have done some incorrect configuration

i have send all the general, bond and central & peripheral config parameter.
and i have also added the central device mac address as you aviced to add central( CC2340) in peer adresss in Adv parameter.

Do you have access to a Bluetooth sniffer, and if so, have you been able to see any type of advertising that is coming out of your CC2340? This will help us determine if advertising is being sent. Once we have checked this, we can start looking at why the device you are trying to advertise to isn't seeing it. And finally we can solve the connection issue.

No i don't have access to a Bluetooth sniffer 
i just want to know  in Connectable directed type of advertising we need 2 advertising sets ? or one set is ok to do that , and if you can provide the steps that needs to implement  for developing that

You do not need 2 advertising sets. One set should suffice. When you send the directed advertising to a central device, is that configured correctly to start a connection with the peripheral sending out connectable directed advertising? I saw you wrote that the peripheral_start() function is not getting executed, which would mean that the advertising never starts, in turn leading to no device being able to connect to the peripheral.

I highly recommend enabling RF observables to better understand what is happening.
