CC2642R-Q1: warm reset reason

Part Number: CC2642R-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi,

one of my customer is doing ESD test. one of the failure reset reason is 7, PowerCC26x2_reset_warm_reset.

Could you suggest what the possible reason? it will give customer some hints for further debugging.

BR. Albin

  • Hello Albin,

Is the customer using a watchdog timer? A watchdog timer will initiate a warm reset. Within the Technical Reference Manual, there are multiple registers which can be set to give a warm reset. Take a look at section 2.9.4.30, 6.3.4.1.2, 6.3.4.3.1, 7.8.3.9, and 17.4.1.3.

Let me know if this helps the customer find anything.

    Thanks,
    Isaac
