CC2340R5-Q1: How to implement the SWD for 3rd party adapter?

Part Number: CC2340R5-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software:

Hi team,

As the title showed, I have a question about how to implement the SWD using 3rd party adapter. Please do not link me the ARM links in the reply, we have read it but no init sequence showed there.

The material & function we want:

1. Init sequence. My customer cannot attach the device so they cannot play SACI commands.

2. Reading information like Uniflash does from chip, readout the memory, chip version and so on via SWD.

I see other thread is also requesting for the init sequence but no valuable answer until now.

  • Hi Island,

I will ask around internally to determine if there are any available resources which can be shared.  Are you aware of OpenOCD?  This would be a useful starting point for the customer.

    Regards,
    Ryan

  • Although you do not have interest in being sent links to ARM documentation, we do want to make sure you are referring to the correct documentation.

See https://developer.arm.com/documentation/ihi0031/g/?lang=en (make sure you’re on the latest rev although all the revs online seem to have the same sequence information), the specific section to reference is B5.3.4 – Leaving dormant state

The SACI command protocol is documented in Section 8.3.2 of the TRM.

    Regards,
    Ryan
