CC2745P10-Q1: CC2745R10: How do I download firmware to CC2745R10 EVB with LP-XDS110 download debugger?

Hi TI Team,

I can't download my firmware(.out) to CC2745R10 EVB with LP-XDS110 download debugger.(I chose Part number:CC2745P10 because there is no CC2745R10.)

Here is a my trouble shooting.

1. Hardware Setup

Set equal to manual. Using LP-XDS110 and CC2745R10-Q1 EVB.

2. Debugger setup

Using UniFlash8.6.0. Select CC2754R10 and Start.

3. Firmware flash

Browse my firmware(buttonled_LP_EM_CC2745R10_Q1_freertos_ticlang.out) and Loag Image.

4. Debugger firmware update issue

Than i got a warning, i tried firmware update but that was failed.

My download debugger, LP-XDS110's firmware version is 3.0.0.22. Do I have to update the firmware version 3.0.0.28?

I tried version up to 3.0.0.28, referring to the XDS110SupportReadMe.pdf file.

 

5. Debugger firmware version update

There was 3.0.0.28 version of debugger firmware in the path where the XDS110SupportReadMe.pdf file was located.

And the entry to DFU mode was successful by referring to the firmware update topic in the document.

However, when entering DFU mode, LP-XDS110 is disconnected and firmware update does not proceed.

The document says that when entering DFU mode, it needs time to re-recognize the debugger on the PC, but it does not connect again.

How do I download firmware to CC2745R10 EVB with LP-XDS110 download debugger?

    Hello,

    It looks that the XDS110 was bricked in the process. However, when using CCS does this issue still occur? Additionally, were the device support packages installed on uniflash prior to flashing the device?

    Hi Nima,

    Hope you doing  well. This is Kai, Connectivity FAE in Korea.

    I have checked that they have installed the SW package for CC274x and tried with CCS but also shows the same issue. (even I updated the version of CCS to 12.8.1)

    and They have checked JTAG TEST with CCS, please see the result below

    Could you please tell us what we have to fix or have to check in this situation? the XDS-110 Device is the new one.

    Hi,

    That is strange behavior, and I'll need more information on the setup. 

    My understanding is the XDS110 is connected via the socket to the device correct?

    Seeing the previous photos, the Uniflash version is 8.6, can you try the latest version of Uniflash and start again?

    Hi,

    There has not been much activity on this thread, however, there is a known quirk about the XDS110 no ET on these devices.

    Make sure that the XDS110 is unplugged from the computer before attaching the CC device. Only once the CC device and the XDS110 are connected do you connect it to the PC. Please let me know if this works.

    Hi Nima,

    I checked the j-tag connection between xds110 and pc through the device manager, but the same thing happened.

    Additionally, the download to cc2642r1 was successful with xds110.

    Hello,

    Were you able to try what I mentioned above?

    If that does not work, I recommend using an XDS110ET device.
