I'm seeking to track the motion of a probe, ballpark 20cm up to about 150cm from the instrument, what sort of resolution could I achieve with TI's channel sounding solution?

Is there a ready demo I can just power up and try?

Hello Alex,

Resolution of Channel Sounding solutions depends on a wide arrange of variables including, antenna paths, environment, and algorithms used. Typically, Channel Sounding solutions are used between 50cm - 150 meters, with an estimated best-case resolution between 7 cm (physical limitation of technology) - 20 cm, again depending on the variables mentioned earlier.

Can you describe your use case a bit more?

I want to monitor the motion of a probe with respect to the host instrument, distances between about 20cm and 150cm, it sounds as though this solution won't achieve sufficient resolution for me. Ultrasonic works until the operator's hands get in the way.
