CC2340R5: Some device can't connect with BLE after bonding failed

Part Number: CC2340R5
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am working on BLE bonding, but after several times bonding failed, my iPhone can't connect BLE, it's always in connecting page.

But other devices can connect this BLE.

I use Uniflash erase chip, then burn new firmware, it's still same, can't connect success.

Checked SDK8.10 and SDK8.20, same result.

How can I fix this?

  • Hello Xuefeng,

    Thanks for reaching out.

Could you please share if you are using an out of the box example from the SDK? what example are you using? In addition, are you using a TI Launchpad for this?

    BR,

    David.

  • Hi David,

    1. I use sample data_stream in SDK.
    2. I use chip on our production, not launchpad.

  • Hi,

Can you forget the bond on your iPhone and re-test? Its possible an old bond on the iPhone still exists and that may be causing some issues due to the CC device having a different images. Forget the old bond, restart the iPhone and attempt to rebond. If the issues persist, then can you try using a different iPhone and checking if the behavior is reproduced?

    Best Regards,

    Jan
