CC2642R: Exclusive control between Radio core and MCU run

Regarding your specific question, could you please specify what do you mean by the "radio core is not booted up"? Do they want to keep the radio at shutdown while non FR operations are executed by the MCU? When there are no RF/BLE operations the radio core will go to standby, meaning that the power consumption is already very low (<1 uA). This is being taken care by the stack.

They just want to know the radio core start and end timing from CPU

If it can know this timing, the CPU will not execute the another processing for averaging the peak current from the system level view point. .

What is the nature of the other task? Is it a RTOS task, a routine running in an interrupt context? You could use the TX/RX output pins to see where the Radio is awake for executing an operation. However I dont think this will give you the expected behaviour considering the program runs BLE related tasks based on a scheduler that defines when the tasks are executed.

In general, for power consumption optimizations we would suggest designing the sw so that the MCU spends as long as possible in standby or shutdown mode if possible by the application. Optimizing Bluetooth Low Energy Power Consumption: software-dl.ti.com/.../optimization-power-cc23xx.html

Other task is the external device enable/disable which consumes the current.

Which is the TX/RX output pin? If this pin shows TX/RX timing , those  can be used as the indicator of TX or RX.

I introduced this link but the customer asked again that this is TX and RX ON/OFF timing , not the RF core Power ON timing.

Maybe RF core Power on timing has wider time than TX or RX ON timing.

Can we provide how to find the RF core ON/OFF timing?

I would suggest then to use the events that come from the stack itself and execute the operations in between. For instance, when advertising, you can take a look at GAP_EVT_ADV_START and GAP_EVT_ADV_END or when scanning: GAP_EVT_SCAN_ENABLED  and GAP_EVT_SCAN_DISABLED

They have already tried these function, but they don't think this is not the exact timing of "RF core" wake up timing.

They uses a coin battery, so don't want to pull the current at the same time to avoid the voltage drop by the coin cell battery internal resistance. 

So they want to execute the another task when the BLE core is not wake up.

Hi Fujinaka, 

David has provided a way to detect when the advertising and scanning operation is done. The same can be done for connection events (cf. connection event callback section in the User's Guide). The radio is automatically set in low power mode after completing the radio operations mentioned. 

Using these elements, you can ensure the operation are started right after the completion of the previous BLE operations. Assuming only one type of BLE operation is done at the time, this will maximize the time you have to execute your code before the next operation.

So the conclusion is ,

1) There not exist the direct detection signal (event) which shows  BLE core power on/off timing.

2) Instead of direct method, customer needs list up all of the event which BLE core power on/off , then take "OR" function for these event to know the BLE core power on/off status.

My understanding is correct?
