hi team,

I do have a quick question from one of our customer

The Android app "SimpleLink Starter" seems not to run on newer Android versions. Is this a known issues or any known workaround?

I installed it on an Android 12 mobile phone (Samsung Galaxy S10e).
I got an error message and when trying it on my old phone (Samsung Galaxy S7, Android 8) the app is running.

do you know anything about this issue?

Hi Brian,

Thank you for reaching out.

The "SimpleLink Starter" app is not recommended anymore. Please use the SimpleLink Connect App.

Also, we have a SimpleLink Academy lab showing how to get started with the SimpleLink Connect App.

Thanks Clement,

According to the link, the SimpleLink Connect app only supports the following types:
CC23XX
CC33xx

The CC2651R3SIPA LaunchPad, however, is populated with one CC2651.
The app does not find the CC2651R3SIPA either.

is customer missing something?

Hi,

The SimpleLink Connect App is supposed to detect all the BLE devices (including competition devices).
