"I was reviewing Ti Application notes AN043. Looking at the conclusion table 6, I believe there is a mistake in the units utilized for reporting the antenna gain.
If you look at the antenna gain graph reported on pages 8 to 15, I believe the units for the gain in table 6 should have been dBi and not dB.
For example, for the XY plane reported measurements on page 9, the radiation circle shows the maximum gain with 4.5dBm reference level. The circle showing the data is in dBi, so the maximum gain observed should have been 4.5dBi and not dB. I am not too sure how one can report antenna gain in dB as from my understanding, antenna gain should be reported relative to isotopic dBi. If I am not correct, please let me know.
Can you please confirm?
