RFID Implementation

Hello,

I'm in the process of designing an RFID system for a construction application for safety purposes. I need a transponder, reader, and antenna system that will work at distances above 2 feet, but no greater than 3.

I notice TI offers modules and ICs. What does TI recommend for my application?

Please provide supporting documentation, datasheets, and system level diagram (plus software guides) that will allow me to implement the RFID application as quickly as possible.

I think the most interesting one is the last one (new). Texas provide also a development kit. Check it for your development. Regarding your requirements, I would go for 15693 or its equivalent in 18000-x (I do not know), since 14443 or NFC I guess will not provide 3 feet range.

The good thing about the kit is that provides the option to employ full or half power (200mW or 100mW) which may help you adjusting the range. If you disagree with the antenna or the range, you can copy the design and use your own antenna till you are satisfied.
