CC2340R2: BLE scanner Design

Part Number: CC2340R2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP-EM-CC2340R5

Tool/software:

We are designing a Bluetooth scanning device based on the TI CC2340R2. The device should be able to scan nearby BLE smart labels, extract manufacturer data, and store it along with a timestamp. I am working on the hardware design and looking for a reference circuit for the CC2340R2 to guide the schematic and PCB layout. Could you provide a reference design or suggest relevant design resources?

  • Hi,

If you are using the CC2340R22 and the same package (RKP) as the CC2340R52 present on the LP-EM-CC2340R5 development board, then the design is identical and you can use its design as-is.

If you are using the smaller package RGE (present on both CC2340R21 and CC2340R22), then you have to adjust to the smaller package.

Both designs are referenced in the LP-EM-CC2340R5 product page at:

    https://www.ti.com/tool/LP-EM-CC2340R5#design-files

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael
