LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2: Hopping Mode for LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2

Tool/software:

Hello,

I have recently obtained the LAUNCHXL-CC2640R2 kit with the idea of testing related to the certification process.
The reason I opted for this model is because of the simplicity of being able to configure the different operation modes with the sw SmartRF Studio.

However I would like to configure the equipment in hopping transmission with a pseudo-random sequence. Do you know if this is possible? And if so, could you give me some indications to start implementing the mode of operation.

Thank you very much.

  • Hello Javier,

I hope you are doing well. I first wanted to ask if you are testing proprf or BLE stack here. For frequency hopping I do not believe SmartRF Studio 7 currently has this option, though we could achieve this by writing some code in CCS; reference our SimpleLink Academy for CC13xx CC26xx in this case for help getting started.

    Thanks,
    Alex F

  • Hello Alex,

Thank you for your response. Actually I work in a certification lab and we need performance this operation mode. SmartRF Studio allows to configure continuous frequency sweep transmission according to a step, but is not possible to have a pseudo-random sequence.

I appreciate you share the link Alex! i'll start with the fundamentals.

    Have a nice day!

    Best regard
