CC2560 delay

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2560, MSP430F5438A

Greetings everybody.

Does anybody know the total ammount of time it would take to capture voice treat it and stream it back to the speaker ear using bluetooth (CC2560)?

I am afraid it would be long enough to cause some botherness to the person who is speaking. What do you think about?

all the best,

  • Raul,

A standard telephone conversation happens at 8bits/8khz. This is a very low datarate.

Is the MCU going to be doing the microphone conversion?

The MSP430F5438A  is the low power MCU that the BT designs are based off of. The ADC on this device samples 10 bits at 200ksp which leaves quite a bit of room to provide some over sampling and averaging.

I dont forsee any issues with achieving this type of performance out of this MCU/RF link.
