Hi Team,


My customer is planning to use CC2674x10. and 20dBM tx output for 2.4Ghz (BLE)  is needed.

LP-EM-CC1354P10-6 Design File (Rev. A) is suggested and there is 20db PA optimization inside.

My customer concern the board size.

Please help to check which design can save more board size and is the optimize solution.

    1. CC2674R10 + 20dB RF amplifier

    2. CC2674P10

    If board size is the most important factor (and not cost) then an IPC solution would be the best option. Either way, an external PA would likely not be a better solution that utilising the integrated +20 dBm power amplifier.

    The 2450PC15A0044 from Johanson Technology is the available 2.4 GHz, +20 dBm IPC solution for the CC135xPx and CC2674Px devices.

    Is the customer planning to use the RGZ or RSK package size? This is important to account for otherwise the performance will not be optimal (see Section 2.3 of SWRA814 (SimpleLink CC131x and CC135x Family Hardware Migration Guide) https://www.ti.com/lit/swra814 ).
