Hi !

In order to use Bluetooth 5.0 on the CC2540, you would first need to update your TI BLE-Stack to a version above or equal to v1.5.0.
The instructions on how to proceed with this upgrade can be found in the CC2540/41 Bluetooth Low Energy Software Developer’s Guide (Rev. I), section 9.3.
