CC2745R10-Q1: measuring TX power

Part Number: CC2745R10-Q1

Tool/software:

firmware:SDK,simplelink_lowpower_f3_sdk_8_40_02_01\examples\rtos\LP_EM_CC2745R10_Q1\ble5stack\basic_ble

I encountered a problem during test the tx power on the LP-EM-CC2745R10-Q1 lauchpad.

The tx Power on all channel is very low like -5dBm while the rx sensity is like -81dBm.I am using the default setting and XDS110 as connection.

I tried to use the SmartRF Studio to control the tx power but find little change between setting TX out power 10dBm and 0dBm,It's around -5dBm.

I measured the source current under the tx situation just mentioned and find the current nearly 48 mA high.

Please provide me way to set a right tx power and correct the sensity

  • Hello Adam,

Can you describe your setup in more detail?  SmartRF Studio can be set for a txpower of -5 dBm.

For RX sensitivity, I will need more information on your setup. What is transmitting to the device? What is the distance between the transmitter and receiver device? Is the channel conducted or over the air? If conducted, was any attenuation added?

For SmartRF Studio are you using continuous TX? What version of SmartRF Studio are you using?

Please provide answers to the questions above, and I will provide a response.

    Thanks,
    Isaac

  • Thank you for your reply Isaac,

I get the wanted TX power and RX sensitivity after I flashed the cc27xxx10_hsm_fw_v3.0.0.bin in the SDK onto my board.

  • Hello Adam,

Can you provide me with answers to the questions above?

    Thanks,

    Isaac
