CC2340R2: CC2340R2 to act as both Central and Peripheral concurrently

Tool/software:

I have a requirement to maintain a BLE connection to a mobile application and concurrently scan an advertisement every 10 seconds while still maintaining connection with the mobile application. The throughput required on the BLE connection with smartphone is not high(Only few 100 bytes every second.). Is it possible to achieve this with CC2340R2. If yes, us there a sample code available in the SDK that i can evaluate. If no what alternative options I have?

As specified in the Comparison Table in the users guide (Link here: https://dev.ti.com/tirex/content/simplelink_lowpower_f3_sdk_9_10_00_83/docs/ble5stack/ble_user_guide/html/ble-stack-5.x/overview-cc23xx.html#id3)

The CC2340R22 is able to operate in multirole, but the CC2340R21 is not. You should be able to change the role configuration in SysConfig inside the BLE module to operate as a central+peripheral. I recommend using the basic_ble example as configuring it to allow multiple connections and operate as Central+Peripheral through sysconfig will allow you to hold a connection and scan out of the box.
