My customer wants to use CC2340R2 as BLE transceiver.

Hos ic can just run Bluez and control CC2340R2 as BLE peripheral role.

which example project for cc2340r2 is supporting GATT profile and peripheral role? The example project can support Bluez, right?

Hi Frank,

Thank you for reaching out. The CC2340R2 is able to support BlueZ through the ble_controller project. The ble_controller project is a fully-compliant controller-only implementation that is able to work with any third party Linux BLEStack such as BlueZ. All that is needed is to flash the ble_controller project onto your CC23XX device and interface it with the device that is running BlueZ.

When migrating to CC2340R21, what's recommended heap size for controller project?

By the way, it would build failed if using 0x3F50 and pass with 0x3000.

Can host use Bluez to connect with CC2340+ble_controller, let CC2340 be scanned and connected by cellphone?

Hi Frank,

The recommended heap size should be changed depending on the project. The following section specifies which values to use depending on the project:

When the ble_controller project is running on the device, the application runs on the Linux side, so as long as the BlueZ stack is operating the CC2340 is a peripheral/broadcaster role then it should be scannable from a smartphone.

the link only specifies heap sizes for projects below. For controller project, which one should I follow?

basic_ble / basic_ble_profiles: 0x00003F50
host_test / data_stream: 0x00003000
Off-Chip OAD: 0x0003400

For controller, I would start with 0x3000 and increase if needed.
