CC2340R5: using Mcuboot,presisent and application if we do the reset it is happening in 4-5 sec

HI team,

We are working with the CC2340R5 using SDK 8.40 and IDE 12.8. We're facing an issue where

when running with mcuboot_onchip, persistent, and application (OAD) images, a reset takes approximately 4–5 seconds.
If we run only the mcuboot_onchip, application layer, a device reset takes around 300–400 milliseconds.

why the behavior is different from this above two steps.

Can you give some suggestions, which is useful for our understanding and further development.

Yes ,normal system reset( RST pin reset)

Hi Chandra,

The delay is due to the image validation and verification. By default, the MCUBoot project does the check and validation upon boot even if the image was not changed. You may opt to skip these tests or modify the code such that they only happen upon a new image being written. This should reduce the MCUBoot booting speed to below 1 second.
