I am trying to use Bluetooth on the CC2650, try to download the sample project, but was not successful compiling. (ble_sdk_2_02_08_12 - examples - cc2650lp - xxxx)
What are some simple proof-of-concept demo projects I should start with to show Bluetooth communication?

Hi Ronald,

Make sure you are downloading BLE-STACK-2-X as well as installing the correct dependencies, i.e. TI-RTOS version 2.21.01.08 and Code Composer Studio (CCS) v7.4.0 (with TI ARM Compiler 16.9.4.LTS) or IAR ARM v7.80.4. Then provide screenshots and logs of the build issues you are experiencing. I would also encourage you to use a different MCU with more recent software support, such as the CC26X2/CC26X4 in the SimpleLink F2 SDK or the CC2340R5 from the SimpleLink F3 SDK.

Thank you Ryan..... however using a different MCU might not work for us. I am exploring Bluetooth support for our existing hardware design using CC2650 chip, see how much work would need to use Bluetooth instead of Zigbee for our next gen of development.

Over the weekend, I was able to compile/build successfully, after finding and installing the compiler v16.9.4.LTS.

I guess some out of the gate questions would be:
1. Would you suggest some other sample code/projects for me to quickly demo Bluetooth communication with the CC2650LP, or maybe simular development platform? We would have a host/base, connected to two devices wirelessly, sending and receiving payload data between them, more less like a star topology, host acting like the hub.
2. Can the Bluetooth stack 2.X allow us (user) to implement channel hopping on all valid Bluetooth channels?

1. ble_sdk_2_02_<version>\examples will contain the projects available across a multitude of platforms such as the CC2650LP, CC2650RC, CC2650STK, etc. One BLE central device is capable of maintaining a connection with multiple BLE peripherals.
