LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: Device not detected in Smart RF Sniffer Agent - v1.6.0

Hello,

I want to use the CC26x2R1 Launchpad rev.C as sniffer device for the BLE 5.0 protocol.

My first try was to download the latest Smart RF Sniffer Agent version (1.11.0) and install Wireshark 4.4.7. All seemed ok, the device was detected and Wireshark displayed packets but only the BLE advertising and scan packets, not the ATT packets.

I thought it was because I have the Rev. C of the sniffer device, so following the documentation I downloaded Smart RF Sniffer Agent - v1.6.0 and Wireshark 2.6.20, I also reflashed the sniffer device with the cc26x2r1lp firmware located in the Sniffer Agent app folder.

But now the sniffer is not detected and don't have the option to create a new configuration, so I'm totally blocked.

Any idea?

    Hey Diego,

    Since no ATT packets were not displayed, make sure that the sniffer is configured to capture the initial connection and then set the sniffer to capture on all advertising channels. (37, 38, 39). Make sure that the device is within range too, since there can be interference from other BLE devices. If this does not work, I can ask the team and get back to you soon.
