CC2340R5: Split stack and app image for CC23xx MCU

Hi everyone,

My basic BLE application has grown in size and it is taking 4 minutes to download by OTA. Is there a guide to split the BLE stack and user app into 2 separate images? In that way, the stack can be flashed in manufacturing and remained untouched, while user app can be upgraded anytime by OTA.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. The OTA speed is primarily determined by the BLE parameters. Can you share what connection parameters you are using?

Hi,

Thank you for sharing. I would increase the PDU size to 255 and increase the PDU number to a higher value. You may start with 255 as well and lower it later as a large PDU size + number combination will lead to increase RAM usage.

Hi Terrence,

Glad the information as helpful! The F3 SDK has a combined stack + app image. It is not possible to separate these at this time.
