Hi TI Team,

We are currently facing an issue during PTS (Profile Tuning Suite) testing, specifically with the IOPT Class of Device test case. The test is not passing, and we are observing the following key point in the logs:

Invalid PSM values 0x0002 selected.

We would like to understand the following:

  1. Is the PSM value 0x0002 configured or managed internally by the Bluetopia stack?

  2. If yes, where can we verify or modify this value in the stack configuration?

  3. Could this be influenced by any IXIT settings in the PTS tool.

    Verdict Description:     Invalid PSM values 0x0002 selected

    Does this line mean that our device sent a PSM value of 0x002, or that SDP (service discovery) failed.

    This option seem more plausible to me as we dont set any PSM value to 2 in any of our profiles and also even psm values are not allowed by btsig.

    Does the test logs also provide snoop logs that you could see from a bluetooth analyzer software?

    We did a class of device testing with the PTS testing tools.

    Following is the data we have. 

    Report: PSM Value Mismatch Causing PTS Failure in Class of Device Test

    Test Context
    ------------
    - Test Suite: Bluetooth PTS 8.10.0
    - Test Case: IOPT/SR/COD/BV-01-I – Class of Device Test
    - Stack Used: Bluetopia Stack
    - Issue Observed: PTS test fails with APICOM non-passing verdict and internal error INDCSV

    - PTS Dongle: This PTS dongle supports LE/BR/EDR test cases up to Core Spec v4.2.

    Issue Summary
    -------------
    During execution of the above test case, the PTS suite reports a failure with the following characteristics:

    - Final Verdict: INDCSV
    - Failure log references a PSM (Protocol/Service Multiplexer) value mismatch.
    - The device advertises or responds with PSM = 0x0002, which is rejected by the PTS test suite.

    Expected Behavior
    -----------------
    According to Bluetooth SIG specifications and expected behavior for the Class of Device test, the correct L2CAP PSM value for SDP is:

    PSM = 0x0001

    - This is the only valid PSM value for SDP (Service Discovery Protocol).
    - Any other PSM, such as 0x0002 is invalid for this test context and results in rejection.

    Findings
    --------
    - This PSM value does not appear to be configurable from the PTS GUI for this test case.
    - The PSM value mismatch appears to be stack-driven and is likely configured internally in the Bluetopia protocol stack.
    - The same ICS file, which fails the test in the latest PTS version - 8.10.0, passes in the older version — 8.5.3, suggesting the PSM value issue is newly introduced or enforced in the updated PTS release.

    1)  Have any of the devices with CC2564C passed the CoD testing with the latest PTS testing setup(PTS 8.10.0)?

    2)  If not done, can you try running the CoD testing on your side with PTS 8.10.0?

    The IOPT Test for Class of Device (CoD) has passed after updating the major service class. However, we are still observing the invalid PSM value error.
