Is there an ANT + MSP430 development kit?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP-EXP430FR5739

Hello,

I have a client in the consumer products space who is developing a wireless sensor that will be using an ANT radio. I've read up on the CC257x series (and the ANT development kit) but I haven't seen any kits that show how to send data from an MSP430. I assume that there's one out there, but where do I find it? BTW, I'm not interested in the bluetooth stuff, just ANT.

Thanks,

Derek

  • You should be able to get an MSP FRAM board. Dynastream has put together a nice demo showing proximity and file transfer with MSP and 2571.

  • Thanks, do you have a link to where I can get more information about this hardware/software solution? Basically I want to use MSP430+CC257x; what development kit has this?

  • I used the

    MSP-EXP430FR5739 rev 1.1

    with CC257x Em 1.0

The MSP dev board is on the TI site. I've only found the EM board ref design, but not a part number.  I'll ask and see if these are available.

  • Wow - you guys don't make it easy! Will the firmware examples work on the MSP430F5538 eval board too, or just the FRAM board? I'd like to avoid buying every dev board that TI makes; I already have a few dozen of them.

Also, if you have a link to the firmware examples, that would be appreciated.

This information should be listed on the CC257x product page, BTW.

    Thanks,

    Derek
