CC2340R5: Using IAR 8.40 for programming and debugging

We will develop a ble module for our devices and use CC2340R5.

Unfortunately, we have iar 8.40 and could not renew it at this time.

How can we program and debug in our version of IAR?

Hi Savas,

You would need to enable device support in IAR, which as you mention may not be available for that version.

Can you try developing with Ti's CCS which fully support development, program, and debug for CC2340R5?

Can we use segger j-link/SWD debugger with CCS. I see that we can use but asking for clarification?

I think it should theoretically work, I'd recommend to consult the CCS experts to see if there is a compatibility enablement for Segger in CCS, and if yes which versions are supported: (+) Code Composer Studio forum - Code Composer Studio︎ - TI E2E support forums
