Subject: Request for Basic BLE Broadcast Test Code for CC2340R53 Board Bring-Up

Dear TI Team,

I’m a hardware engineer, and I’ve recently completed the design and assembly of a custom board based on the CC2340R53 MCU

As our firmware team is located in another country, I would like to perform a basic functional check of the BLE radio on the hardware before shipping the boards to them.

To that end, I’m looking for a minimal test firmware that can continuously advertise over BLE (with any name), allowing me to verify RF functionality using a mobile app or scanner.

Could you kindly share:

Thanks for reaching out.

I would suggest to use the basic_ble example from the SDK: C:\ti\<SDK>\examples\rtos\LP_EM_CC2340R53\ble

The Adv name is set by default to Basic BLE so you will be able to spot it easily. Hi David,

As I’m the hardware designer, I would really appreciate it if you could share the compiled output file (e.g., .hex or .out) for the basic_ble.

This will help me directly program the board using UniFlash and perform BLE testing at my end before handing it over to the firmware team.

Hello Rama,

Sure, you can find the compiled (.hex) example in C:\ti\simplelink_lowpower_f3_sdk_9_11_00_18\examples\rtos\LP_EM_CC2340R53\ble\prebuilt_hexfiles (that is after you have downloaded the SDK of course).
