CC2755R10: about ETSI certification

Part Number: CC2755R10
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2755P10

Tool/software:

Hi team,

Customer is evaluating CC2755x10. They know that BLE is not considered FHSS under FCC and also does not classify as FHSS under ETSI specification.

Regarding the ETSI specification, could you please indicate if BLE remains not classified as FHSS when EIRP exceeds 10 dBm?

Besides, could TI share any relevant certification test reports for reference ?

  • Hi TI expert,

Could someone help to answer this question?

    BR, Jesse.

  • Hi all,

    Apologies for the delay here.

For ETSI the mechanism uses is Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH). While BLE uses an AFH mechanism to avoid interference by "hopping" across channels, this system falls under the DTS classification for ETSI compliance, not the FHSS classification.

We are in the process of completing our reference design for the CC2755P10 and once complete we will shar the CE report.

    Thanks,

    Riz
