CC2640R2F: Latest SDK missing on-chip OAD example

I tried to upgrade the SDK version from simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_5_30_00_03 to simplelink_cc2640r2_sdk_5_30_01_11 - seems like a minor bugfix release so didn't anticipate any issues. I found that the OAD onchip example, which our implementation is based upon, has been removed. See the path \examples\rtos\CC2640R2_LAUNCHXL\blestack for 5.30.00 (left) vs. 5.30.01 (right):

Is there a specific reason for the removal of this example? What is the workaround for users linking the contained files in their implementations?

Hi Jamie,

That is correct. Due to additional flash and RAM consumption of the stack in the latest SDK release, the on-chip example is no longer supported. If on-chip is required, then it is recommended to use a previous SDK release.
