CC2340R5: How can I change the RF frequency during code running

Part Number: CC2340R5

Tool/software:

in rfPacketTx,I have successfully implemented sending data in channel 37, and can see the data in the Bluetooth sniffer. However, I tried to change the RF frequency in the code, but I cannot see the data on channels 38 and 39, and only one channel can be selected in syscfg. How do I implement this feature? I need to send data in channels 37 38 39.

I know using BLE stack can solve my problem, but we are not allowed to use practices with RTOS for this project.

  • Hi,

Thank you for reaching out. You should be able to change the frequency by modifying the .rfFrequency field of the RCL_CmdGenericTC structure. You will need to wait until any existing command is completed or terminate any RCL operation. The next operation submitted should use the new frequency.

  • Thank you for your answer. This is the solution I discovered yesterday. When I tried to change the frequency in cmd separately, I couldn't see the data on other channels. But I compared the differences in radio_configby switching the frequency in syscfg and found that the PBE_GENERIC_RAM.WHITEINIT in LRF_commRegCfg[] is different. So I tried updating the value when switching the frequency, and now it is working.
