Does anyone know if the new CC2541 will be able to be used as a bluetooth HID device?

    Hi,

    Both CC2540 and CC2541 can be used for HID through the new (ratified just before New Year's) HID over GATT spec. This is not backwards compatible with the older "classic" Bluetooth HID profile (concepts are the same, but HID data is routed over GATT instead and uses the Low Energy PHY).
