Hi,

We are evaluating BLE using the SDK sample software.
While measuring with RF Studio, it seems that retransmission is not performed when a CRC error occurs.

Therefore, I have the following questions:

1. In BLE, is retransmission not performed when a CRC error occurs?
2. If retransmission is not performed, do we need to implement the retransmission process ourselves?

The operating environment is as follows:

- CC2642R
- BLE5-Stack
- Sample software: simple_peripheral

Hi there,

Smart RF studio is a tool that is used to exercise the radio and evaluate the more RF performance. It does not involve the BLE stack and instead invokes RF commands directly to the radio to module dummy packets or carrier wave tones, etc over the air.

When the Bluetooth LE stack is used, it will handle retransmission of data.

You do not need to handle retransmission on your own.

Based on your answer, is it correct to understand that Smart RF Studio does not use the BLE stack, and therefore retransmission processing is not performed when a CRC error occurs ?
