LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1: Firmware replaced when connecting to USB

Hello,

I have noticed that sometimes I need to re-flash my custom project_zero project to the board after connecting it to the USB port, because it seems to revert to the original version. This also happens when I press the reset button on the board.

I observed this by checking the source line numbers in the log.

How is this feature managed?

Hello Diego,

The project_zero example has off-chip OAD enabled which means it needs an off-chip BIM application image loaded alongside a binary application image which includes a valid header appended using a post-build tool. Given the description it sounds like the BIM is programmed but the .out file used during the initial flash/debug session does not include the valid header so the BIM application reverts to the out-of-box version stored in external memory.
