According to the Bluetooth SIG, BR is about 60% faster than LE for large data transfers.
That is, a 1MB transfer on BR takes about 8.81seconds and the same over LE takes about 13.93 seconds.
I am using the HostTestRelease-USB in conjunction with the ble\Thermometer project on the KeyFOB.
On modifying the ble\Thermometer project to accept ReadBlob accesses, I found that in a large transfer, each packet (of 22bytes) is transferred roughly every 200ms.
This works out at about 9000 seconds for a 1MB transfer or about 650 times slower than the Bluetooth SIG information.
It is obvious that the 200ms is some artificial limitation, but I don't know where to start looking.
Has anybody looked into LE throughput on the CC2540? Is there any example code anywhere?
