CC2744R7-Q1: CC2744R7-Q1 Internal Temperature compensation circuit

Part Number: CC2744R7-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi Team,

I am currently checking whether the Tx Power and X-tal Temperature Tolerance compensation feature in the CC2744R7-Q1 device are implemented

Upon reviewing the Datasheet and TRM, it seems that a temperature compensation feature is applied to the Tx Power, but it seems that none is applied to the X-tal.

Could you confirm if this information is correct? and see the inquiries below?

- referred part of TRM : image.png

- inquiries
1. is there a feature to compensate Tx power according to Temperature?
2. is there a feature to compensate X-tal Tolerance according to Temperature?
3. if we have features, Could you please guide how to enable/disable?

Best Regards,
Kai Kim

  • Hi Kai,

    1. The TX power temperature compensation is automatically enabled. There is no need to configure anything here.

    2. By default HFXT temperature compensation is enabled in the SDK. However, the compensation is done according to the parameters of the crystal on our LaunchPad. If the costumer uses a different crystal, they have to modify the parameters according to the crystal that they are using. This can be done at sysconfig -> TI DEVICES -> Device Configuration -> RF Temperature Compensation.

The costumer needs to fill in the parameters HFXT Coefficient P0 to HFXT Coefficient P3 according to their crystal.

    Best regards,

    HG
