Hi Sir.

We have see the CC2745R10 RX current about 6.1mA and TX current at 10dBm about 24.5mA.

I reference below thread.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/wireless-connectivity/bluetooth-group/bluetooth/f/bluetooth-forum/1586601/cc2745r10-q1-tx-power-consumption-mesure-at-10dbm

and i using data_stream sample code with power monitor.

My adv transmitter's peak power current is approximately 40mA instead of 24.5mA.

I am using CC2745R10 LP. We don't have any rework on the LP.

do you have any suggestion for my issue.

Thanks.

  • Hello,

Please keep in mind that the 24.5mA number that you're referring to is only the radio power consumption and does not include the processor core which will add to this number along with any other active peripherals. Also make sure that the LP-XDS110 is not connected to the LP when you're conducting your test as well.

Also, attached is a preliminary power calculation tool that you can use to get better estimates of current consumption.

    Regards,

    Andrew

  • Hi Andrew.

    Thanks for you reply.

I have a question to ask you.

Do you have any suggestions on how to measure the current consumption of 24.5mA at TX power 10dBm?

For example, could I enable CW using HCI and then put the CC2340 into power shutdown?

    Is this possible?
