CC2745R10-Q1: How to Scan LE Coded PHY Advertisements Using btool

Part Number: CC2745R10-Q1

Hi,
Please tell me how to scan LE Coded PHY advertisements using btool.
I have configured the following settings in btool and verified them, but the scan results do not show any LE Coded PHY devices.
Are there any other settings needed?
I have confirmed that the LE Coded PHY advertisement is being output using Sniffer.

The environment used is as follows:
SDK: simplelink_lowpower_f3_sdk_9_10_00_83
btool: v1.44.04 (BLE5)
Central: CC2745 host_test (using btool)
Peripheral: CC2745 Custom project

  • Hello Rihito,

I will have to look into this more in depth and get back to you as soon as possible. I will give more information next week.

  • Hello Josh,
After trying various things here as well, I've encountered a new question, so I'm asking.
To put it simply, it appears to be connected to the Coded PHY, but attempting to send BLE commands to the Peripheral results in a BLE not connected error.
    Details are as follows.
Using btool, we confirmed that setting GapInit_connect as follows and executing it allows connection to the LE Coded PHY.

We have confirmed that AUX_CONNECT_REQ/AUX_CONNECT_RSP packets are being transmitted on the Sniffer as well.

However, I was unable to send commands such as HCI_LE_ReadPhy, ATT_ReadByGrpTypeReq, or Pairing Request.
Do you know what might be causing this? Is there any additional configuration I need to perform?
The following image shows the bleNotConnected state when sending a Pairing Request.

This time, Peripheral is using the sample project (basic_ble), so I'm attaching the environment.
The changes are as shown in the image below, where we added Coded S2 advertisement.

  • Hello Rihito,

After looking into it more closely it looks like this is a bug in our software.
A ticket will be filed and handled in our next release of the SDK.
Thank you for understanding and bringing this issue to our attention.

    Best,
    Josh Alderson
