CC2745R10-Q1: Enabling DAA will prevent a second connection.

Part Number: CC2745R10-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

The CC2745R1 Launch Pad and “SimpleLink Low Power F3 SDK BLE5-Stack” are used for BLE evaluation.

To validate AFH, we wrote “basic_ble” to the central and two peripherals.

Then, when I try to connect the second unit after connecting the first unit on the Central, I cannot connect.

Could you please let me know the possible causes, countermeasures, other settings needed, etc.?

The central “basic_ble” is set as follows in SysConfig.

  • Role: Central
  • Maximum number of connections: 2
  • DAA: Enabled

The “basic_ble” setting for the peripheral is left as default.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hello,

Can you please provide the SDK version you are using? Do you have a sniffer log available showing the problem?

    Thanks,
    Isaac

  • Hello,

    >Can you please provide the SDK version you are using?

I am using Version 9.14.01 of the “SimpleLink Low Power F3 SDK BLE5-Stack”.

    >Do you have a sniffer log available showing the problem?

I’m sorry, but I don’t have the logs on hand.

The symptoms are as follows: ① Enable “Adaptivity using DAA” on the central
② Start up two peripherals (the software here is also basic_ble)
③ Connect the central to the first device
④ After connecting to the first device, the second device cannot be connected (its address is shown in the scan results)

If possible, I will try to capture logs.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hello,

Can you provide a logic analyzer log of the PA/LNA when the problem occurs? Do you see the first device disconnect when attempting to connect a second device?

Can you also let me know the error you see when the connection is not formed?

    Thanks,
    Isaac

  • Hello

We sincerely apologize for the delayed response.

The person in charge has informed us that they are unable to verify this because they do not have a logic analyzer or similar equipment on hand, and as a result, we are currently unable to answer your question.

What we do know is that it is not “the connection is being disconnected,” but rather “unable to connect.”

For this matter, we believe we will not be able to receive any further cooperation from our representative in charge, so we will close it at our discretion.

We apologize for taking up your time.
